he plantation of the highly valued Valnerina olive trees stand on hilly grounds of calcareous origin and of stone composition at a height of 350 meters sea level.
The climate, the geographical position, the particular draining soil composition, make the excellent olives grow, bearing a high quantity of antioxidant (polyphenol).
Valnerina olive trees which produce an average of 10 kg. each year, are not attacked by any parasites thanks to the climatic and enviromental factors mentioned above.
The three main kinds of olives grown in Valnerina are Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino.
MORAIOLO: the high antioxidant quantity that the olives contain, confers a spicy flavour to the Moraiolo olive oil.
FRANTOIO and LECCINO: the oil extracted from the Frantoio and Leccino olives distinguishes itself for the intense green colour and sweet, delicate taste.
